SMG is
dedicated to providing a safe and healthful environment
for its employees, client/owners, and patrons, as well
as protecting the public and preserving all client and
company assets. Toward that end, this SMG Loss
Prevention Manual is designed to assist management and
non-supervisory staff in controlling hazards and risks,
thus minimizing the chance of employee and patron
injuries, property damage, and disruption of facility
operation. The manual is also intended to provide
guidance on proper responses and procedures for use
during instances when, despite the best efforts of those
involved, an emergency does occur.
SMG's reputation for leadership and innovation in the
field of public facility management mandates that this
Loss Prevention Program shall be implemented
consistently throughout all SMG managed facilities.
Therefore, the procedures contained in this manual shall
apply to all employees, contractors, subcontractors,
licensees, patrons, and visitors at SMG managed
facilities. All members of management are responsible
and will be held accountable for implementing this
program and ensuring that staff adhere to the guidelines
contained herein.
